Nuts and bolts for sciatica
A toolkit and a shared language for sciatica.
I’m populating the site in two installments. The first installment—mostly anatomy, pathology and assessment—is up now, and ready to help you in clinic:
As you’ll see, Nuts and Bolts for Sciatica is like a toolkit of mental models, mnemonics, and useful stories and perspectives. Each one is small and self-contained - like nuts and bolts you can use in clinic, or pass to a colleague.
Crucially, everything in it is distilled and made easy to remember and to share with others. The goal is to give us a ‘shared language’ of sciatica.
I expect to release the second installment in the Spring.
Happy new year!
Tom
P.S. The Sciatica Guide - the leaflet you can hand to patients, which I have mentioned in previous emails - is in final testing.

What a great resource, written in plain English. Many thanks.
Thanks so much Tom. This is a fantastic resource for myself and my clients. You have helped me get my mojo back with all things " sciatica".
